SVRF Balanced Review

I purchased Balanced by SVRF about a week ago just as something to try out and vape on in between the other juices I picked up to review. I usually like to pick up a couple of flavours from any brand I intend to review but since I'm home with a sick two year old today I thought I would write up a quick review of this juice while my daughter naps.

Balanced

Balanced is a Coconut and Cream flavoured juice out of California and it is outstanding! I am a big fan of coconut but was a little worried I had just bought a juice that was going to taste and smell like I was vaping suntan lotion.

My mind was at ease immediately after I began vaping this juice as it tastes just like the filling of a coconut cream pie which is one of my favorite desserts and absolutely nothing like Hawaiian Tropic sunscreen.

Balanced is a very smooth and creamy vape. It is a 80VG/20PG blend which produced big clouds and amazing flavours. It also has a great coconut smell to it that several of my co-workers commented on.

This is a juice I know I will buy again and is an all day vape for me. I will also pick up a couple of more juices from SVRF to review sometime soon. This was an easy one to score!

Twelve Monkeys Review

For the last week I have been vaping on 3 flavours of e-liquid from Twelve Monkeys Vapor Co and I have been loving them. So much so that I went back to the vape shop and purchased another bottle of two of the flavours. I also picked up another two flavours to review in a few days after I have a chance to try them out.

Twelve Monkeys is a company out of Ontario, Canada and they currently have eight flavours available with a new one coming out in July. Their VG/PG ratios are different depending on the juice and every flavour is available in 0, 3, 6, and 12 MG nicotine. This is a brand that is popular all over the world and you can find out where you can pick up their products in your country on their website www.12monkeysvapor.com now on to the review!

Mangabeys

Mangabeys is a Pineapple, Guava, Mango blend that is accented by other tropical fruits and this is the best juice I have vaped to date. I am a fan of fruity flavours and this company absolutely knocked it out of the park with this one.

This juice really has a Caribbean taste to it and is the perfect vape for summer time. Pineapple and Mango are two of my favorite fruits to eat and juices to drink so I am not surprised that I love this stuff as much as I do.

This juice is rather sweet like many other fruit flavours are but it never got to be sickeningly sweet to me. I was able to vape this and love it all day long. This flavour is a 80VG/20PG mix so you will still enjoy great vapor production to go with the fantastic taste.

Congo Cream

What is the first thing you think of when someone mentions the Congo? I thought you might say Vanilla and strawberry custard! That is exactly what this flavour is and like Mangabeys it is fantastic.

Congo Cream is a smooth, creamy custard flavour with two vanillas and fresh strawberry's on the exhale. There is a lot going on with this juice but the flavours work perfectly together and it has a great vanilla smell to it. I am not always a huge fan of custards but this company really did this one right.

This is a 70VG/30PG blend which still produces nice clouds, but the higher PG allows for all the flavours mixed into this juice to be enjoyed. I am a big fan of this juice and am working on my second bottle of it.

O-Rangz

O-Rangz is a cereal vape that tastes very much like Fruit Loops and this one is decent. I loved fruit loops as a kid and still eat them from time to time as an adult but this juice was just ok to me.

It is described as a lemony fruit flavour accented by wheaty cereal and creamy milk but I got mostly just a lemony taste and smell from this juice. It tastes and smells good and if you are a fan of lemon vapes you will probably love it. I have not fallen in love with a cereal vape yet and lemon juices are not my favorite so this is not one I will likely buy again.

I did finish the bottle and I did enjoy it but this was easily my least favorite of the three juices I tried this week. This is a 80VG/20PG blend so it does produce nice clouds and I'm sure lots of people will love it. But for me

Grandpa Tony's Review

For the past week I have been vaping on two flavours from Grandpa Tony's Premium E-liquids and they are both fantastic. I had tried one of the flavours before and the other I tried for the first time this week.

The VG/PG ratio is not listed on the bottle and PG is not listed in the ingredient list so I am guessing all of Grandpa Tony's juices are max VG. These juices both had great vapor production and flavour and being max VG is something I prefer. They are available in 0, 3, and 6 MG nicotine.

Grandpa Tony's is a company based out of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and is currently available at stores across Saskatchewan, Alberta, and B.C. I honestly feel that some of Canada's best juices are made right here in Saskatchewan and with the quality of these two flavours I tried this week and with the buzz the new Mo-He-Toe flavour is generating I am expecting this brand to be popular all across Canada soon.

Due to budget constraints here at thevapingbusdriver.ca I had to limit this review to two flavours but I will definitely do another review on a couple more flavours in the future. Now on to the review!

Razzle

Razzle is a juice I tried for the first time this past week and is a blue raspberry taffy flavour and it is great! This juice has the perfect amount of sweetness and is not overly sweet like many other candy vapes can be. Neither the blue raspberry nor the taffy flavour overpowers the other, it is pretty much a perfect 50/50 mix of both.

This juice has a great raspberry smell that is very pleasant and a very nice after taste. I brought razzle with me to a wedding last weekend and my friend Mike made the comment that he knew this was good juice just from the look of Grandpa Tony, so I guess he is a good face of the company. Over all I really enjoyed this juice and will buy it again without a doubt.

Steamberry

Steamberry is the strawberry flavour from Grandpa Tony's custard line called Cog Fog. I had purchased this juice one time before and ended up spilling about 95% of the bottle down my kitchen sink by accident so even though I had bought this before I really was trying it for the first time this week.

I find myself disappointed with most of the custard flavours I try but was not at all disappointed with this one. There is just enough strawberry flavour that works perfectly with the creaminess of the custard. This is a very smooth vape that I would recommend you use in a dripper to bring out the rich, creamy goodness of the custard and the strawberry flavour. The smell of this juice is very pleasant but doesn't have a strong strawberry smell to it. No doubt it is a custard vape judging by the smell. Cog fog is available in Strawberry, Caramel, Honeydew, Lemon, Pistachio, and Vanilla flavours so I'm sure you will find one you like. Over all I really liked this custard vape and would buy again for sure.

Thursday Thoughts

I'm sure we have all purchased things in our lives that you wonder how you ever got by without. For me the most recent case of this is the Recoil RDA by GrimmGreen and OhmboyOC

The flavor off of this RDA is out of this world, and I would recommend checking it out if you are looking for something new or are making the switch from a Sub Ohm Tank.

I was having a chat with my Mother-in-law Brenda this morning, who I adore and would be devastated if anything ever happened to. She has been smoking for many years and her doctor told her quitting smoking using vaping is not a good idea because there have not been enough studies done on the long term health effects of vaping.

Now I admit I have not been through medical school and am probably the last person who should be giving anyone medical advice but how can recommending your patients continue to smoke and accept the horrifying consequences to their health that is backed up by millions of medical studies and reports be a better idea than recommending your patients switch to something you feel hasn't been studied enough? Isn't it ironic? Don't you think?

I posted my first blog post one week ago today, and since this page has been viewed way WAY more times than I would have ever imagined I want to say a quick thank you to any vape shop owners and employees who may see this post. Thank you for always being available to answer any questions no matter how dumb they may be, and help people with problems they are having no matter how simple they are to fix. You guys are helping save peoples lives and your knowledge and expertise are greatly appreciated.

Strange Clouds Vapor Co. Review

For the last week I have been vaping on 3 flavours of e-liquid from Strange Clouds Vapor Co and I must say that they produce fantastic juice! Two of the flavours are juices that I purchase regularly and have been enjoying for a long time.

All of their juices are available in 0, 2.5 and 5 MG nicotine and are a 80%VG/20%PG mix which produces big clouds and outstanding flavours. They are a company based out of Regina, Saskatchewan and their products can be found in store at Queen City Vapes as well as ordered online at www.queencityvapes.ca

Now lets review some juice shall we?

Purpcream

Purpcream is a juice I have been purchasing for a while, it is a Grape Gelato flavour that I find delicious. It is very smooth and has an outstanding smell to it. When I vape this I hear people commenting all the time about how good it smells and even how good I smell after vaping it.

This juice has a very cool taste to it, not in a menthol flavour type of way but in more of a frozen dessert way. It also has a great after taste that kind of hangs around in your mouth for longer than any other juice I have tried. Over all this is one of my favorite juices and one that I will continue to purchase regularly!

Bananas Out For Harambe

Bananas out is another juice that I have purchased quite a few times and one that I really enjoy. This is a banana/nut smoothie flavour and it is very much on point. I have tried several banana flavours and was never very impressed until I tried this one.

The inhale of this juice is all banana to me and the exhale has a nutty undertone that just works perfectly. The nut flavour is not overpowering and the banana flavour is outstanding. This juice has a great banana smell and does not smell or taste anything like that weird banana medicine we all had as kids. This is another flavour that I will continue to purchase and enjoy regularly!

P.B.O.M.G

P.B.O.M.G. is a peanut butter ice cream flavour that recently had a flavour make over for the better. I purchased the original blend when it was being cleared out for $5 a bottle to make room for the new recipe and I really didn't like it. To me it tasted like I would imagine putting a roasted peanut on top of your coil and firing it at 150 watts would taste.

When the new recipe got released I had to try it just to compare the old to the new. The new blend is so much improved that they don't really taste very much alike at all. There is a new added sweetness described as a gooey melted marshmallow and a far less roasted peanut taste that now makes this juice pleasant. I'm not a peanut butter fan really, I don't eat it on toast or sandwiches often so I knew even the new recipe probably wouldn't be a favorite of mine.

All I can say about this juice is that if you are a PB fan you will love it! This isn't a flavour I will likely purchase again but it is very good. If you like Reese cups or peanut butter toast I bet this juice is a 10/10 for you but for me

How we got here

My sister-in-law Jolene has been writing a very successful food blog for many years (check her out at everydayfoodie.ca), and she had told me several times that I should start writing a blog too. I thought maybe blogging about my favorite baseball team the Toronto Blue Jays would be kind of fun but the idea didn't interest me enough to want to get started with it.

When I began vaping I would come home with a few new bottles of e-liquid every week and would talk Melody's ear off telling her what I thought of each one. My wife is very supportive and would always listen to me ramble on about how I was on a quest for the perfect vape.

About a month ago we were sitting in our back yard vaping, I was telling Melody what I thought of the e-juice I had picked up that day when the idea came to me that there are probably a lot of people out there like me who love trying new juices. People who are always on the look out for great new brands and flavors they have not tried yet. Starting a blog about what I'm vaping and hopefully hearing what others are vaping from across Canada, the U.S. and around the globe seemed like the perfect idea to me.

I talked to Jolene about the idea and she was very supportive and pointed me in the right direction on how to get started. I decided to jump in with both feet and become a blogger.

After a brief period of not knowing what I was doing thevapingbusdriver.ca was born. I am not affiliated with any brand, shop, or website so my opinions will be my own and I promise to always keep it 8 more than 92 with you.

Lets begin at the begining

I started smoking when I was 14 years old. Like most I had no idea I was starting something that would become nearly impossible to stop. I couldn't at that young age picture myself in my 20's and 30's buying thousands of dollars worth of nicotine gum, nicotine patches, inhalers and prescription drugs.

I had no idea I would ever be laying on the floor of the Medicine Hat Lodge Hotel with my friend Tanys getting hypnotized in an attempt to stop smoking. I tried what seemed like everything to try and become smoke free, and while I had some success here and there I had pretty much accepted that I was a life long smoker.

My journey into vaping started on a cold night last November. I was watching T.V. while my daughter and wife slept. I had just come in from having a cigarette and noticed there was a one hour documentary program on CBC about the electronic cigarette industry so I decided to watch.

In that one hour I saw stories of life long smokers being able to finally quit, scientific studies about the health benefits of making the switch, and a whole lot of people whos lives had improved drastically when they decided to try vaping.

When the program was done I googled vape shops in Regina and decided I was going to stop in to Queen City Vapes the next day and try it for myself. When I walked in to the shop the following day, not knowing what I was even looking for or what any of the mods in the glass case were, Mike came to the rescue. He spent the time to explain all the starter kits to me and once I had picked one let me hang out for over an hour trying juices.

I couldn't believe how many flavors were available and how good some of them tasted. I picked a few to go home with and told him he would probably be seeing a lot of me going forward. I spent the next few weeks vaping in place of a couple of my smokes everyday and finally on new years day stopped smoking completely.

I was amazed once I stopped smoking all together by the fact that I didn't miss it at all. I had said to friends before how life just wasn't as good as a non smoker, but now I was enjoying what I was using to quit smoking far more than I ever enjoyed smoking itself.
